What is it – 什么是Buy As Gift—

This feature allows customers to purchase one of your products for someone else as a gift. This feature can be changed at both the Account Level and the Product Level. All payment types are available for the give a gift feature. 客户可以通过本功能购买您的产品,并以礼物的形式送给他人。该功能可以在账户层级和产品层上级更改,并且支持所有的支付方式。

How it works – 它是如何运作的—

The following steps are actions that take place for a gift order: 礼物订单的订购过程:

  1. Sender of gift (paying customer) places an order and checks a box on the order form marked “gift”. Sender of gift fills out all pertinent data on the order form including their billing information, the recipient name, the recipient email, and a short message to the recipient. All payment types are accepted for gift orders.

  2. Sender of gift receives “Receipt Email”, which contains pricing details only.

  3. Recipient receives “Gift Notification Email” with URL to pick up the product. This email includes the senders name and message to the recipient. The Recipient must click on the pick up URL to receive delivery details.

  4. After the Recipient clicks on the pick up URL, the delivery details are displayed on a webpage and through a “Gift Delivery Email” they will receive. The Delivery Email contains delivery information only, no pricing details.

  5. Sender of gift receives “Gift Pickup Email”, which lets them know the recipient has picked up their gift.

How to get started – 如何开始—

By default, the account level and the product level settings for this feature are set to “no”. You can enable this feature on all of your products through your Account Settings or make product specific selections in your Product Manager. 该功能的默认账户层级与产品层级设置为“no”,您可以通过Account Settings对您的所有产品或在您的产品管理中选择特定的产品启用该功能。

To Change Settings on All Products: 改变所有产品的设置:

  3. Find “Buy as Gift”, and select one of the following options:

    1. “No” – this option will disable Give a Gift for all of your products and for all of your affiliates.

To Change Setting on Specific Products: 改变特定产品的设置:

  1. Click on “Products” in the left navigation of your account.

  2. From the Product Manager page, you will see a “Gift” column with a red X or a green Check . Click the images to change the status of a single product. The red X means the product disabled and the green Check means the product is enabled.

To Pre-check the “Gift” option 预勾“Gift”选项

  1. You must have the Gift option enabled through the steps above.

Advertising Gift Order Availability Ahead of Order Pages – 在订单页面前刊登现已支持礼物订购的广告—

Create a banner using the Promo Creator tool available in the left nav of your control panel and add the "more info" link provided below. The more info link will open a page with detailed instructions for placing gift orders. After you insert your vendor id in the place of XXXX, the page will be formatted in your default style. Changes to the “Vendor Order Notification” Email “发行商订单通知”邮件上的变化

You will still continue to receive your “Vendor Order Notification” email after an order completes, but with new “Gift” and “Pickup” fields. These fields will appear in all Vendor Order Notifications for every order, not only gifts. 在每个订单完成之后,您还会继续收到您的“发行商订单通知”,但其将新增“Gift”和 “Pickup”字段,这些字段会在每个订单的所有的发行商订单通知上出现,不局限于礼物订单。

You will then receive a second notification email once the gift recipient has picked up the gift. This “Vendor Gift Order Pickup Notification” email will have a subject line that reads: “GIFT PICKUP <product name> <Order ID>”. Additional Recipient Gift Status When Looking Up Orders 查找订单时附加的收件人礼物状态

If an Order is a Gift Order, there will be a gift icon on the “Order Detail” page. Next to the gift icon, you will see the gift status, either “not picked up” or “picked up”. 如果订单属于Gift Order,那么“Order Detail”的页面上会有礼物图标,您将在图标附近看到礼物状态,“not picked up (未领取)”或者是 “picked up (已领取)”。

A “not picked up” order means the recipient has not picked up their order by clicking the URL within their “Gift Notification Email”. A “picked up” order means the recipient is ready to receive delivery information from you. When the recipient “picks up” an order, delivery emails are sent out automatically from our system. Should you need to resend the delivery emails, please follow these steps:

Question: Does the Sender of the Gift also receive delivery information from me? 问:礼物寄送人也会接收到我所发出的交付信息吗?

Answer: No. Delivery information is only provided to the Recipient of the Gift. 答:不会。交付信息仅提供给礼物收件人。

Answer: The URL in the “Gift Notification” email contains the recipient’s order number, which you will need in order to determine if the gift has been picked up. For example, see the URL below. Question: Can my Affiliates offer my product as a gift? 问:我的代销商可以对我的产品提供礼物功能吗?

Answer: Yes, but only if the Affiliate has enabled the gift option AND you have enabled the product they are trying to sell. If your product level setting is “no” for a particular product, then the affiliate will not be able to offer your product as a gift. 答:可以,但条件是代销商启用了礼物选项,并且,您对他们所推广销售的产品也启用了该功能。如果您的产品层把某个具体产品的功能设为“no”,那么代销商就不能够对您的产品提供礼物功能。

Answer: Yes, you might. Depending on your delivery method, you may need to make changes to your key generator to make sure that the correct party is receiving keys. Also, if you send any emails from your servers to users of your software, you’ll need to watch those emails too. For all orders or gift orders, you’ll receive a Vendor Gift Order Notification w/ two new fields.
