RegNow has integrated with Microsoft Digital Locker to allow easy connection to this sales channel. RegNow vendors can add products to this sales channel simply through the RegNow control panel. What is Digital Locker? As part of the new Windows Marketplace, Digital Locker is a new online distribution solution that simplifies the purchasing experience of downloadable software. Digital Locker provides consumers a consistent, unified, easy to use interface where they can purchase, download and even install products. Microsoft receives millions of unique visitors a day to the Windows Marketplace site. Digital Locker will launch in the Windows Marketplace in August 2006, just in time for the 2006 holiday season. Many vendors have begun to grow their revenue by utilizing email marketing. As we all know, spamming has always been the primary concern. Customer perception can be managed by following best practices in email marketing. But legal action can be managed only by following the law (see the CAN=SPAM Act of 2003 at http://www.spamlaws.com/federal/can-spam.shtml). In order to ensure that vendors and affiliates are complying with the current privacy and permission laws, RegNow has added a report to the control panels that will easily identify customers who have opted in for mailings based on the presentation of the opt-in option on order pages.
We have also added an option for those vendors who choose to be more aggressive about capturing email addresses. The opt-in box can now be presented to the consumer as pre-checked or unchecked depending upon vendor selection in their control panel. Vendors can visit the "Accept Offers" Help and Support topic in their control panel for further information.

PayPal payments can now be accepted through the RegNow shopping carts. Vendors do not need to have a PayPal seller's account to accept PayPal payments through RegNow. The funds will be transferred into their account just as credit card orders are.
Vendors have the ability to turn this payment option on and off in the Account Settings section of the control panel.

Preventing "leakage" within RegNow vendor websites and products is the #1 requirement for a successful affiliate. Affiliate Certification is a program for vendors to guarantee that their affiliates will receive credit for sales they drive to vendors by ensuring that a vendor's site or products do not contain leakage. Leakage consists of anything that prevents an affiliate from receiving credit for a sale that originated from the affiliate.
Vendors can apply for Certification at both the website and product level. The site certification level means that a vendor uses RegNow affiliate commerce tracking for all affiliate sales that occur on their site. The product level certification means that a vendor's trial downloads use RegNow affiliate commerce tracking. The benefit of certification to affiliates is to let them know which products are best built for them to receive commission.
Affiliates are given the opportunity to be notified via a daily email of all sites and products that have been certified on RegNow. Affiliates can also identify what products and sites are certified by an icon added to the Product Search and Relationships pages of their control panel.
Affiliates have a process to report a vendor's website or product that they see as not being certified. These reports are reviewed and tested by RegNow staff. If the certification requirements have not been followed, the certification for that website or product is revoked and the vendor and affiliates are notified via email.

Google and Overture Tracking is now available to affiliates! Regnow has incorporated the Google and Overture ad tracking code into our order confirmation process so that you can now track the effectiveness of your Google and Overture keyword buys. The process works by placing a cookie on a user's computer when he/she clicks on one of your ads. Then, if the user reaches the RegNow Receipt page [the last page of the ordering process], RegNow will automatically connect to Google or Overture and report the sale.
